Cookie Notice
Effective and last updated 23 August 2026
Intelster does not use cookies. No advertising cookies, no analytics cookies, no third-party trackers, no pixels, no fingerprinting, no session recording. Nothing on this site follows you anywhere else, and nothing here is shared with an advertising network.
What is stored in your browser
Four items, and only if you interact with the controls that set them:
| Name | Type | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
intelster_theme | Browser local storage, not a cookie | Remembers whether you chose the light or the dark view, or left it following your device. Its
value is light, dark or system. |
Until you clear site data for intelster.com |
intelster_prefs | Browser local storage, not a cookie | The states, lanes and types of work you chose in "My setup", so the list opens on your
area instead of the whole country. It holds only those choices — for example
TX, Midstream, Pipeline. |
Until you clear it in My setup, or clear site data |
intelster_rain_seen | Browser local storage, not a cookie | Remembers which projects the Rainmaker button has already shown you, so it does not hand you the same lead twice in a row. It holds a short list of project names, capped, and is cleared automatically once the list is exhausted. | Until you clear site data for intelster.com |
intelster_notice_ack | Browser local storage, not a cookie | Records that you dismissed the notice bar, so it does not reappear on every visit. Its value is
1 and nothing else. |
Until you clear site data for intelster.com |
None of these ever leave your device, and none are readable by us or by anyone else. Each one exists only to honour something you did on the site, which is why no consent is requested for them. Clear site data for intelster.com in your browser settings and they are gone; the site returns to following your device theme, the notice bar appears again, your setup is forgotten and the Rainmaker starts fresh.
Technical information that is not a cookie
Like every website, ours receives a request from your browser in order to send a page back. Our host logs those requests, including IP address and browser type, for delivery and security. That is described in Section 1 of our Privacy Policy, and the retention period is in Section 6.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We do not track visitors across websites, so there is nothing for those signals to switch off. See Section 10.7 of the Privacy Policy.
If this ever changes
If we add analytics or any non-essential cookie, we will ask for your consent first, through a banner that lets you refuse as easily as accept, and this page will be updated before that goes live.
